APIVITA’s main task in MARISURF project is the formulation of various cosmeceutical products containing new bio-surfactants and bio-emulsifiers. Konstantinos GardikisDr. Konstantinos Gardikis

Director of Scientific Affairs, is primarily responsible for the research on new raw materials and he is the leader of the APIVITA multicompartmental innovation team. He holds a PhD and an MSc in pharmaceutical nanotechnology. He has been managing 11 EU or Greek state research projects of a total value of 1.7 million euro. He has published 14 articles in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and has numerous oral or written presentations in international conferences.

Sophia LetsiouDr. Sophia Letsiou

is the Manager of Biochemistry lab in APIVITA SA. She holds a PhD in biochemistry targeted on System Biology research. Her main interest is the in vitro safety and efficacy assessments of raw materials as well as cosmeceutical products. She has been involved in many EU-FP7 research projects. She has published 10 articles in leading journals, book chapters and numerous oral or written presentations in European and international conferences.

Panagiota DraganiPanagiota Dragani

is the R&D Director in APIVITA SA. She is chemist and holds a MSc in Chemical technology. Her main objective is to turn innovative ideas into finished products incorporating primary and applied research results in them. Her main responsibility is to oversee all technical aspects relating to the development, formulation and manufacturing scale up of cosmetics. Manages a lab consisting of chemists and lab techs who consistently deliver innovative products of high quality under strict time constraints to global market. Responsibilities also include raw material purchasing, product safety testing and product registration for international markets.

Anna PateraAnna Patera

is the Head of R&D and Head of Management Systems of APIVITA SA, managing the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716 and OHSAS 18001. She is a chemist and she has been the Head of the R&D department from 1992. As an experienced chemist in cosmetics development she is the Honorary Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Cosmetology.
